Temple B'nai Shalom Clergy

Senior Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer

Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer became the spiritual leader of Temple B'nai Shalom in 2013 after serving congregations in Brooklyn, Syosset, New York, and Ridgefield, Connecticut. He was ordained from the Hebrew Union College after completing his studies at the New York and Jerusalem campuses. He graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University.

Rabbi Eisenkramer loves teaching, from the youngest learners in Tot Shabbat through B'nai Mitzvah and adult education. He is an active participant in the East Brunswick Interfaith Clergy Council and a member of the East Brunswick Township Board of Ethics.  

Rabbi Eisenkramer is co-author, along with Rev. Michael Attas, MD, of "Fly-Fishing: The Sacred Art," which explores the spiritual side of casting a fly and the joys of being outdoors.  

Rabbi Eisenkramer and his wife, Marcela Betzer, MPH, live with their twin children, Naomi and Jonah, in East Brunswick.


Rabbi Emeritus Eric Milgrim

Rabbi Emeritus Eric Milgrim has been the spiritual leader of Temple B'nai Shalom since April, 1973 as its founding Rabbi. He was ordained from the Academy of Jewish Religion and attended Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in both Cincinnati and New York.

Rabbi Milgrim has dedicated himself to bringing a liberal understanding of Judaism to the East Brunswick area. He was a founder of the East Brunswick Clergy Council and and Ethics Committee and served on the Youth Services Council, and Human Relations Commission in the Township.

In 2024, the Academy for Jewish Religion honored Rabbi Milgrim for his fifty years of service to the Jewish community.


Cantor Andrew Edison

Cantor Andrew Edison began his cantorial career at Temple B'nai Shalom, serving from 1982 to 1989 and then returning to Temple B'nai Shalom in 2013. He holds a B.A. degree from Montclair State University, a M.S. degree from Monmouth University, and a Bachelor of Sacred Music degree from Hebrew Union College in 1984.

He is an ordained and certified Cantor, a certified principal and supervisor in the public schools of the State of New Jersey, and a certified music teacher.

Cantor Edison's past positions include: Cantor at Temple Sinai of Roslyn, Roslyn, NY; Organ and Choir Director at Temple B'nai Jeshurun, Short Hills, NJ; Adjunct Professor at Hebrew Union College, Jewish Institute of Religion - School of Sacred Music; and Director of Music and Drama at Bergen County Vocational and Technical High School. He also served as the President of the Cantorial Alumni Association of his alma mater and Principal of Temple Beth Miriam's Religious School in Elberon, New Jersey. 

In 2024, The American Conference of Cantors presented Cantor Edison with the Ra'anan Award for forty years of spiritual and cantorial leadership.


Cantorial Soloist Robyn Streitman

Robyn Streitman serves as the Cantorial Soloist for Temple B’nai Shalom. She graduated from Douglass College, Rutgers University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Music. While at Douglass College, she sang with the Rutgers University Choir and Princeton Pro Musica. After graduation, Robyn worked for over 20 years as a Financial Systems Analyst at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Robyn brings her passion for music, both singing and teaching, to all that she does at Temple B’nai Shalom - tutoring B’nai Mitzvah students, directing the junior choir, teaching music in the Religious school, and leading services.

Robyn is a cantorial student at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Yonkers, NY. She is an accomplished pianist and is the recipient of the Rabbi Chana Timmoner Liturgy Award for her congregational setting of Ahavat Olam.
