Religious School

The obligation to teach one's children is set forth in the first paragraph of the Sh'ma Yisrael and V’ahavta prayer: “Take to heart these instructions with which I charge you this day. Impress them upon your children. Recite them when you stay at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deut 6:6-7)

At Temple B’nai Shalom, we believe that learning begins at birth and continues for all of our lives. We offer numerous choices to take the journey with us.

From Little Learners and Tot Shabbat, to Hebrew and Judaica lessons, to Bar and Bat Mitzvah, to Hebrew High School and Confirmation, and adult education and adult B’nai Mitzvah classes, there are always opportunities to learn at TBS.

Religious School at Temple B'nai Shalom begins with Little Learners and Tot Shabbat and continues with religious school classes for Grades K-7 and Hebrew High School for Grades 8-10.

Our goal is to give our students in religious school a quality Jewish Education and to foster the development of a positive Jewish identity based on Reform Jewish principles. Toward that goal, we offer innovative curriculum, experiential learning, and personal relationships with teachers and clergy.

We welcome all to join us on the journey of Jewish learning!
